Admission Requirements
Admission requirements for the various target groups are described in the following sub-sections:
Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations, West African Senior School Certificate Examination and General Business Certificate Examination:
Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE)
The general requirements for admission of SSSCE to BSc Supply Chain and Data Analytics are Credit passes (A-D) in three (3) core subjects, including English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science/Social Studies, plus credit passes in three elective subjects, namely Elective Mathematics or Physics, and any other two elective subjects.
West African Senior School Certificate Examination
Credit passes (A1-C6) in three (3) core subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science/Social Studies, plus credit passes in three elective subjects, namely Elective Mathematics or Physics, and any other two elective subjects.
GCE “O” and “A” Level Applicants
GCE “O” and “A” Level Applicants: Five (5) GCE 'O' Level credit passes including English Language plus at least Three (3) GCE “A” level passes, including Additional Mathematics (Add Maths).
General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE) Candidates:
GBCE candidates with credit passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects, including English Language, Core Mathematics, and Additional Mathematics (Add Maths), plus three (3) relevant elective subjects would be eligible for admission.
General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level Candidates:
GCE candidates must have passed in three (3) subjects (at least one of the passes should be Grade D or better). Also, the applicant must have had credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects, including English Language, Core Mathematics, Additional Mathematics (Add Maths), and a Science subject (for non-science students).
Higher National Diploma and Other Diploma Candidates
Applicants must have graduated with a good Higher National Diploma (HND) certificate (i.e. at least 2nd Class Lower Division).
Applicants with an HND or a tertiary Diploma in Statistics or Computer Science may be admitted to Level 300.
Other HND and Diploma qualifications from a recognised institution may be admitted into level 200.
Note: HND and other Diploma applicants without a statistics or mathematics background will be required to take certain specific courses at lower levels.
Mature Candidates
The applicant must be at least 25 years old and show proof of age with a birth certificate or any legitimate documentary proof of date of birth at the time of application. For admission, an applicant must pass the Mature Students' Entrance Examinations conducted by the Kumasi Technical University in English Language, Mathematics, and an Aptitude Test.
Professional Certificate Holders
Candidates with level four (4) of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) may be admitted to level 200. All relevant professional qualifications shall be referred to the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) for the determination of equivalences and eligibility for admission to the institution.
Note: HND and other Diploma applicants without a statistics or mathematics background will be required to take certain specific courses at lower levels.
Foreign Qualification
All foreign qualifications shall be referred to the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) for the determination of equivalences and eligibility for admission to the institution.
Any other candidates with relevant qualifications shall be referred to the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) for the determination of equivalences and eligibility for admission to the institution.
